Anne commenced her mediation and conflict resolution practice as a Family Dispute Resolution Provider in 2016, contracted to Fairway Resolution Limited, after receiving accreditation through AMINZ (Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand) in 2015. In 2023 Anne was also contracted by The FDR Centre in Auckland to provide FDR services.
Anne understands that mediation, through its provision of lasting solutions/answers to conflict between people, is the future of law.

Anne Scott has a law degree from Victoria University of Wellington and practised law for thirteen years, first for a sole practitioner, gaining experience in all areas of law including family law, property law and litigation, then as a property lawyer for Holmden Horrocks and then as a commercial property lawyer for Bell Gully (where she was a Senior Associate).
Whilst working for Bell Gully, Anne was a telephone Lifeline Counsellor for 5 years. She has also run wellness programmes for cancer survivors since 2005, initially through Breast Associates (Auckland) and the Cancer Society of NZ Inc. (Auckland division), and subsequently through her own practice, with an emphasis on breath work, relaxation, meditation, preventing and managing stress, anxiety and sleep issues/insomnia, yoga and lifestyle (nutrition, exercise, work/life balance, time management).
As well as teaching, Anne has designed and delivered stress prevention/management, time management and lifestyle presentations to Telecom NZ sales staff in Auckland. She also co-presented and co-created a Sleep and Anxiety Management Programme for the Cancer Society of NZ Inc. (Auckland division).
Anne has run a Nurturing Retreat for Women and Women Connect gatherings. She until recently ran a Family Disputes Clinic at the Pakuranga Citizens Advice Bureau and a Meditation programme with a large Auckland prison.

Anne completed a Diploma in Counselling in July 2024 from Evolve College (Australia). She is unable to support current mediation clients with counselling, but if you have any friends, family or colleagues who would benefit from counselling, feel free to give then her contact details. Anne is able to support previous mediation clients with counselling also.
With these varied work and life experiences (legal and therapeutic), Anne is well placed to provide effective conflict resolution services.
